A story about love

Our road is paved with clues pointing the way, with ancient promises waiting to be fulfilled. A tale of love that blossoms for eternal seasons, which for some chapters may seem fierce, for others a gentle caress, perfect in every detail.

How wonderful it is to understand this through the story of Siddhartha and Yasodhara, who met so much and so intensely that their lives became a symbol of our whole tale.

Some chronicles tell it like this:

On their wedding day before the Prince she uncovered her face from her veil, she was radiant with love. Then she placed a fragrant garland around his neck and on her bosom rested her sweet head. And all the crowd rejoiced as they passed, hand in hand and with their hearts beating in unison, then the black veil woven of gold closed again.

Long afterwards, when enlightenment had already arrived, Siddhartha was asked to tell why she wore that unusual black and gold veil.

Siddhartha replied: “Even to me at the time this was unknown, though it seemed familiar.
I remember now that myriads of seasons ago I used to roam the Himalayan forests in the form of a tiger with striped flanks and its hungry cubs. I would crouch in the kusha grass staring with glistening green eyes at the herds grazing ever closer to their death. Around my den or under the stars, I would roam about looking for prey, wild, insatiable, sniffing the trails for traces of man and deer. Among the animals, my companions, that I met in the jungle or in the bamboo groves, a female tiger, the most beautiful in the forest, ignited the war between the males. Her flanks were golden and embroidered in black like the veil Yasodhara wore for me.

In that jungle the battle became intense, with fangs and claws striking from all sides, while under a Nim tree the beautiful animal so fiercely courted watched us bleed. And I remember that at last she came to me snarling with contempt, as she passed the torn lords of the forest whom I had conquered, and with servile jaws licked my panting flanks. He entered with me into the depths of the forest, with proud steps, lovingly. It was our beginning.”

There are no misplaced details, no chance encounters, every guest in your life is a message for You.
