You have every right to lie, they have done it to you thousands of times, for lifetimes, in so many different ways.
You can now indulge in an incarnation busy with matters that do not concern you, pretending every day, with a mask on your face. And you would be right: they had spoken to you of understanding, of respect, of love and freedom…how much hypocrisy you found on the street. Now you can lie too, play like them.
Each time, however, the lie builds a wall. It is invisible, but your heart feels it clearly. A barrier that pushes others away, that pushes you away from the light of Truth. Every time you are not honest about who you are, about what you do, about your talents and desires, with a fellow traveller, whoever that may be, you are saying to yourself: “I don’t consider him worthy of the truth. I don’t trust him, he wouldn’t understand.” And the more times you think this, the greater the wall that keeps everyone away.
Lying all the time means not having hope things will ever change. It means not giving the world a chance to finally bring you company that is consistent with you, that accepts you as you really are.
You have every right to hide, who can tell you otherwise? Just ask yourself if this is how you deserve to live this life: playing the game of others, as a passing stranger, waiting to return home.
A sincere embrace
