Love your shadow
Falling in love with your own shadow is a crucial step.
Because there are dark areas within us, places far from daylight, voices we hide out of fear and shame. And learning to fall in love with them means honoring your nature, reassembling the image, returning whole.
One look is enough to understand what it’s about.
It’s that deep fear of being exposed, judged, showing ourselves. It’s about all those doubts about who you are, what you are doing. About secret wounds, inappropriate desires, feelings far from this world and this time. And then also the terror of death, of the night, of everything that frees. That anger that pushes to emerge from beneath the surface.
The fear of not being worthy of love.
The feelings and thoughts we hide to maintain a certain reputation: being good, being convenient, being as others desire.
Falling in love with this secret part of your world, our way of being human, is so precious. So many frightened fragments that desire love, understanding, to feel held in your arms and those of the Universe.
Don’t try to shine, don’t force yourself to do so.
Just have the courage to shed light on those aching places, the dungeons of your house. Make it safe for your demons to come and talk to you. Their advice will surprise you.
Let them know there are no monsters within you, only ancient promises waiting to be fulfilled.
A loving embrace
