The tides of Life

Each year we spend on Earth can be compared to a tide that comes in and then recedes, bringing with it new changes, reflections, and opportunities.

Just like the sea, which is never the same, our lives also pass through phases of growth and reflection, calm and storm. At times, it feels as though time flows slowly, like when the tide recedes, leaving space for stillness. At other moments, the entire Universe seems to accelerate, like waves crashing onto the shore with fury and passion.

Each year carries with it challenges, dreams, and transformations. And just as the tides, in their retreat, leave unexpected gifts on the sand—shells, smoothed stones, traces of life—so too, after moving through our own “waves,” we often discover surprises we did not expect: hidden teachings, new relationships, and moments of awareness that enrich us. Just as the tides are influenced by the moon, our lives are shaped by the experiences and emotions that pass through us. And like the tide that inevitably returns, we too always find a new opportunity for rebirth, evolution, and hope.

Every year we spend on Earth is an invitation to reflect on what has been and to look with hope and curiosity toward what is yet to come. After all, Existence itself is always in motion, always seeking a new balance—just like the sea which, as it tells a story to the sand, draws a new and wondrous horizon for the heart.
