When someone wants to be right at all costs, give them a precious gift: let them be right.
Because it is not your task to convince those who do not want to listen, those who wish to take their own path or consider it better than yours. And if you allow the people around you to make their own choices, you will feel lighter. Simply accept that you cannot decide for others, that you will not always be able to help or advise, and that if you try, sooner or later you will feel sad, frustrated, exhausted.
Let those who absolutely need to be right be right, and then continue in your own way, as if nothing had happened, while you observe what unfolds.
Soon you will see that being right has never truly helped anyone, that it will not be enough, it is never enough. Because whoever is right must then commit to creating a reality consistent with their beliefs and see if it really works, put it to the test, put themselves to the test. How many things will be discovered along the way: every certainty must turn into truth or into experience necessary for truth.
Learn to let go, to let them go their own way. And then, who knows—since all lives are intertwined with one another, perhaps one day you will meet again and discover that you were both right.
