Wounded children govern Humanity. And as long as those who govern this planet are wounded children, Humanity will not know peace.
Try asking a government why it acts with violence and is in conflict with another government. You will hear that it all has to do with fear, selfish gain, and the great justification of revenge. Citizens are told that war is a legitimate response to injustices suffered, and yet those same citizens are then told not to react in the same way if someone wrongs them.
Until spiritual sensitivity becomes the inspiration of politics, economics, education, and healthcare in a society, our Humanity will not know true peace.
If you are dedicating yourself to healing, to forgiveness, to compassion, brotherhood, and loving-kindness, do not keep these experiences jealously to yourself. Let us leave our homes, our temples, our holistic centers, our communities… and bring into every corner of society the beauty we have learned to recognize.
