Sijharan Seminars

Journey into the Art of the Sijhar

A one-day traveling seminar, guided by Haidehoi David Simurgh, designed as an immersion into the ways of the ancient Persian spiritual warriors: from their traditional warm-up to the open-field battle.
Body, heart, mind, and spirit will guide us through training, dances, meditations, battle simulations, and readings from historical texts, to live together a day that is three thousand years old.

Some of the themes we will explore:

Use of traditional tools (Takhte shena, Meel, Sang, Kabbadeh)
Wearing of the Sarong
Live Ney and Tonbak music
Reading from the Shahnameh – The Book of Kings
Rossiglione (Genoa), Torcigliano (Lucca), Rome, Bologna

The seminar will take place from 10:00 to 18:30 on the following dates:

  • January 11 – Rossiglione (Genoa)
  • March 29 – Torcigliano (Lucca)
  • April 26 – Rome
